I would definitely stay here again. The location is hard to beat — you are literally right next to one of the main architectural works in Granada worth visiting, and you are esurrounded with shops and restaurants in every direction. Yet, the rooms are very insulated from sound (or at least ours was) so you don’t feel like you are in the thick of things until you walk outdoors into it. A favorite feature was that the breakfast restaurant has some tables up against windowed areas that viusally let the street in while soundproofing you from the noise. The windows look out onto a narrow street with vendors spilling right into the street. It is very quaint and makes for fun people watching while you have breakfast. The breakfast istelf is buffet, and there are plenty of options to choose from including eggs, ham, breads, pastries, yogurt, fruit, juices, etc. and a good version of a coffee drink machine. Another wonderful feature of this hotel is taht they have an area with some uncovered archaeological remains that you can walk through and read about. Our room was very quiet and cozy, the safe was large enough for a laptop, the bed and pillows were very comfy. The bathroom had a heated towel rack and nice products. A number of handy accessories are in the room including a clothing de-linter. The coffee maker makes good coffee if and when you can figure out how to use it. We were here for New Year’s and I appreciate the fact that they provided us with a little box of 12 grapes so that we could partake in the ritual grape eating at midnight. The staff were very friendly and helpful answering various questions we had and this was a very comfortable stay overall.

The location is stunning! The lobby features these beautiful, oversized arched windows that perfectly frame the view of the Catedral de Granada. The staff was beyond amazing! They assisted us with everything we needed—when we asked for help getting a taxi, they had one arranged right away. Every staff member was so attentive and welcoming to anyone in the lobby. The hotel also offers some amazing amenities—I just wish we had more time to enjoy them all! Our stay here was short, but the warmth of the staff and the beauty of the hotel left such a lasting impression on my sister and me. We’ll definitely be rebooking this hotel for our future stay. Huge thank you to the staff at Áurea Catedral!

The location on the side of the cathedral was exceptional, getting there by car wasn’t that easy but we managed it. we had parking at the hotel so pretty much left the car in the garage and walked everywhere. We were first offered a room on the 1st floor which I thought was very dark so I asked for rooms higher up and the reception staff were very accommodating and found us new rooms which were much lighter. Lots of restaurants in the area and we found an amazing Moroccan restaurant about a three minute walk away. The name of the restaurant is Palacio Andaluz Almona.

We were concerned about staying at another Eurostars chain hotel after we did not like the supposed 5 star we stayed in in cordoba. However, this 4 star was actually nicer. Rooms were nice, cleaning could be better but overall fine. Best part was the location and how near it is to the plaza nueva, eating areas and even can walk to Albacin. Would not walk to Alhambra as very steep. We took a taxi for 8 euros. The best part are the very helpful reception staff, very good and friendly. The parking was tricky but useful.

Location of the hotel near the Cathedral meant that you were in the old town and near many sights and restaurants easily. The room Junior Suite was wonderful and the hotel, though in the centre and next the Cathedral, was quiet and spread over many buildings which seemed to meant that it was quieter than many. The breakfast was a large array of food of all kinds and plenty to set you up for the day. Coffee could be better but it's machines.
